As of today the Manibobar Region no longer exists. In line with the recent Scouts Victoria region changes Manibobar has been split to be part of the new Mount Dandenong, Melbourne and Plenty Valley regions. These new regions will be supported by Vic Rovers website in coming weeks.
The Manibobar Region website will remain online for reference purposes until the current registration expires in late August.
Melbourne Region will be having it’s first AGM and elections at 8pm on the 4th Thursday in July (22/7/10) at 1st Vic Sea Scouts in Albert park. This is a full uniform night. I would ask you all to make a huge effort to get there with your whole crew as this is where you elect the first region council for the Melbourne region community of Rovers. People you elect will set the aims, objectives and character of the region for some time to come. So please be there to have your say by 8pm as will start 8:15 sharp.

In the March 2010 issue of Australian Scout, details of the proposed region restruction were made public.
Under this proposal Manibobar will split in three.
Manningham district will join with the existing RYVER region to form the new “Dandenongs” region.
Boroondara district will join with Glen Eira and Bayside districts (currently South Metro) to form the new “Melbourne” region.
Banyule and Nillumbik districts will join with Hume, Merri Plains, Moreland (currently Hoadley) and Mitchell (currently Murray Midlands) districts to form the new “Plenty” region.
